Peripheral Vascular Intervention

This training provides step by step PVI procedures of patients with peripheral artery diseases under the advice and supervision of a responsible expert. The participant will learn different PVI approaches, techniques and tools to treat different types of peripheral and complex lesions.

  • Patient selection and procedural strategy
  • Indication and device selection
  • Vascular access – tips and benefits of different techniques(e.g. retrograde approach)
  • Special techniques such as subintimal passage
  • Dealing with procedural complications
  • Lesion treatment of bifurcation and chronical total occlusions (CTOs)
  • Treatment of renal, iliacal, SFA, BTK lesions
  • Trouble shooting and tips & tricks
  • Pre-, peri-, and post-procedural patient management
  • Blade angioplasty: lesion preparation with Scoring Balloon
  • Special stenting techniques: e.g. kissing stenting, T stenting, bifurcation stenting
  • Next generation Drug Eluting Systems: DCB, DES
  • Hands-on training according to requirements and availability
